The Devil and D-Day – WE2

Title: The Devil and D-Day – WE20

– this walk is Sponsored by Cumulus Outdoors

The walk is from Ballard Estate up onto Ballard Down and, enjoying the views of Swanage Bay and the Isle of Wight, along to Old Harry Rocks. We then walk round to Fort Henry, along to Studland passing some WW11 remains. We have a break at Knoll Beach and then move inland onto Godlingstone Heath. Up to Agglestone Rock and on, rising back onto Ballard Down via the Memorial, along the ridge a way and back down to the start. Along the way, learn about the preparations for D-Day and legends associated with the Devil!

There’ll be a lunch break at a National Trust cafe – either get lunch there or bring a packed lunch – plenty of seating.
