Title: Swanage Railway Walk to Corfe Castle – SU12 and WE3
Swanage Railway walk to Corfe
Description: Sunday:The route zig zags along the valley bottom, crossing and alongside the railway line and ends in Corfe Castle where you can take refreshment then walk back or take the train. A flat walk along good tracks following parts of the Hartland Way walk along disused clay mining railway lines. Some sections can be muddy in winter. The walk offers views across open heathland, across to Corfe Castle and a short woodland section.
Wednesday: The route will climb Ballard Down at Ulwell and follow the Chalk ridge to Corfe Castle.
On both days it is suggested we return to Swanage on the train. Timetable and further information at www.swanagerailway.co.uk

Directions to Start: Sunday: Meet at the large grassy area on the left as you enter Swanage, just after Swanage School and before the Church on the left. Opposite the Fish and Chip shop. BH19 2NP.
Wednesday: Meet outside the TIC on the seafront BH19 1LB.
