Photography Walk Tyneham – SA12
Title: Photography Walk Tyneham – SA23
– this walk is Sponsored by Purbeck Footprints.
Description: A circular tour along the limestone ridge, down to Worbarrow Bay and along to the deserted village of Tyneham. Your guide will be the award winning photographer Julian Sawyer: Remember to bring your camera.
Isolated as much by geography as history, Tyneham village offers a unique perspective on the way things used to be. Four Tynehams were listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. It was the invention of the tank in World War 1 that brought the military here, and nobody has lived here since 1943. Today the valley is part of the Lulworth firing ranges, owned by the Ministry of Defence. A truly spectacular hidden gem of this part of the coast, Julian Sawyer will lead you off the beaten track, with, hopefully, the chance to capture the stunning landscape and wildlife on camera.
